Top 10 Gluten Free Pizzas 🍕
Here's a list of all the gluten free pizzas you can buy from major supermarkets, plus gluten free pizza bases and garlic bread!
You might think that by being gluten free, you’re missing out on pizza. But, what it really means, is that you just have to sample every pizza you come across in restaurants, supermarkets and even countries, in an attempt to find the best gluten free pizza out there! I’ve rounded up my top 10 favourite gluten free supermarket pizzas and I’ve been extra helpful by telling you where you can buy these from and for how much.
And that’s not all, if you keep scrolling, you’ll also see a list of gluten free pizza bases and of course, some gluten free garlic bread because, what is life without garlic bread?
So, remember when you used to ask your Mum for a pizza takeout and she’d say ‘we’ve got pizza in the freezer’, maybe after reading this, you won’t be so gutted…
So here we go, starting with my least favourite first 🍕
10. Asda Free From Gluten Margherita Pizza
I have a love hate relationship with Asda’s own gluten free pizza and that’s why it’s sitting in 10th place. The price of this pizza is cheap for gluten free and it’s a good size, but for me, there’s just something missing. I have bought this before and added more toppings and spices and that came out nicely so maybe that’s the secret to making this gluten free pizza a good one. I couldn’t not feature this in my top 10 because, after all, how often can you find a gluten free pizza for £2.60?!
9. Whole Creations Dairy and Gluten Free Veggie Deluxe Pizza
I wasn’t sure about this at first, especially because of the size and the price, but it’s actually a really nice pizza! I was worried about the dairy free cheese not hitting the spot (I’m a big cheese lover) but the vegetables tasted so good that I didn’t really notice that the cheese wasn’t ‘real’ cheese. 3 different vegetables on a pizza is basically a salad anyway isn’t it so that gives us an excuse to eat it!
8. Goodfella’s Gluten Free Margherita Pizza
Don’t worry, don’t worry, there is another gluten free Goodfella’s pizza higher up in my top 10 but I still had to mention the Goodfella’s margherita pizza because although it’s a basic cheese and tomato, sometimes simple is just what you need!
7. Schär Gluten and Lactose Free Pizza Margherita
If you’ve recently ordered a gluten free pizza from Dominos then you might have noticed that they use Schär gluten free pizza bases for all of their gluten free pizzas. Personally, I really like the Dominos pizzas using the Schär base, I just sometimes can’t justify spending that much money on a pizza! So buying the Schär gluten free margherita pizza and adding your own toppings is a life hack worth sharing.
They’re lactose free too!
6. Kirsty’s Gluten Free Sweet Chilli Chicken Pizza
I have conflicting feelings about Kirsty’s pizza, but it is still up there with my favourites. Kirsty’s pizza is dairy free as well as gluten free (like most Kirsty’s products) and I don’t mind the fake cheese taste. However, I like a pizza that is covered in cheese and this one just isn’t that. I do really enjoy the sweet chilli chicken though because it’s something a bit different so if I buy one of these pizzas, I just add some extra cheese on it before chucking it in the oven!
5. White Rabbit Gluten Free Sourdough Proper Pepperoni Pizza
This pizza grew on me. The first time I had the White Rabbit pizza’s I felt like they had a bit of a strange flavour and I wasn’t sure about them. However, they have so many varieties and lots of garlic bread options too that the more I tried, the more I enjoyed them. The base is the perfect combination of doughy and crispy and they don’t skimp on the toppings. They also do a lot of vegan gluten free pizzas which is great for those avoiding both gluten and dairy.
You’ll always find White Rabbit pizzas and garlic breads stocked in Sainsbury’s fresh and frozen free from sections but Waitrose and Ocado also stock them.
4. M&S Food Made Without Wheat Margherita Pizza
Of course M&S was going to feature in my top 10 and it’s made it in there with its gluten free margherita pizza. This pizza get’s a lot of bad reviews but personally, I don’t see why, maybe it’s because I’m used to the different taste and texture of gluten free pizza? The M&S pizza is even better when you spot it with a yellow sticker because it’s on the pricier side of gluten free pizza but it’s M&S quality after all! They also have a gluten free garlic pizza bread - keep scrolling to see it.
3. Morrisons Free From Gluten Margherita Pizza
For just £1.70, this Morrisons own brand gluten free pizza is an absolute steal. You might not think that the Morrisons own gluten free pizza would be any good, and it’s true that it’s slightly smaller than other branded gluten free pizza, but it’s surprisingly delicious! They used to have lots more flavours like spicy chicken, ham and pineapple, pepperoni but it looks like they stopped doing them so let’s hope they don’t get rid of this bargain pizza!
2. Dr Oetker Ristorante Gluten Free Mozzarella Pizza
Coming in second place (it was a close one believe me) is the Dr Oetker Ristorante Gluten Free Mozzarella. I had this for the first time last year and I thought it was absolutely delicious! Plenty of toppings including cherry tomatoes and pesto, and the base was a perfect texture. They also have a salami version which, don’t get me wrong, was really tasty, but the toppings just slid right off so it was a knife and fork job.
I’m always on the lookout for this pizza when I’m shopping and here’s where you can buy the Gluten Free Ristorante and for how much:
1. Goodfella’s Gluten Free Pepperoni Pizza 🥇
🥇 In first place is my all time favourite gluten free pizza: Goodfella’s Pepperoni. When I first had one of these not long after being diagnosed, it tasted so good that I panicked thinking I’d bought the gluten version and had to check the recycling. Obviously, I’ve since learnt that just because it’s gluten free doesn’t mean it lacks taste!
In my opinion, the price, taste and toppings make this the best gluten free supermarket pizza and you can pick it up in most big stores. They also do a cheesy garlic pizza bread which is also super tasty (keep scrolling).
Personally, I would rather have one of these Goodfella’s pizzas than a gluten free takeaway pizza 😋
More Gluten Free Pizza
Obviously, there’s more gluten free pizzas out there than just what’s included in my top 10, so here’s a load more supermarket pizza for you to try out next time you get that pizza craving. I’ve had the Asda Pepperoni, the Ristorante Salame and Kirsty’s Margherita but I haven’t yet sampled any of the others so please let me know if there are any you would recommend!
